In this tutorial we will show you how to round off the corners of an image or bitmap in Fireworks CS5.5 by using vector shape masks. You can apply any shape you wish to a vector shape but the most common application is for rounding corners off. I am using Fireworks CS5.5 for this tutorial but you can use any version of Fireworks without modifying the techniques involved to achieve the same result.
In this tutorial we will show you how to create a bitmap rotoscope animation using Flash CS5.5 and Adobe Media Encoder CS5.5. We all like the rotoscope animations we find on various websites but just how do we go about making them? This technique is becoming more and more common so for any aspiring web developer at least having a basic knowledge of what is involved in creating a rotoscope is becoming more and more important.
Before we begin we need to have three things at our disposal.
- A video camera (unless you already have footage to work off)
- Flash CS5.5 (you can work with other versions however this is what I am using for this tutorial)
- Adobe Media encoder CS5.5 (again earlier versions should be able to do the job)
We will be making an animation without sound however I will put up a tutorial later on on how to add sound to these videos.
